And what is scary is that even despite wanting to surrender to the French, Alex Darling remains the least embarrassing of the city's last three mayors. The northern suburbs of the city (from which I come) were only annexed by the city in 1947, and there have been moves to secede in recent years. Frankly, I wish they would just get on with it.
